The Rose Garden and King Palace Restaurant / Sacramento Wedding Photographer

Daisy and Steven's wedding was a couple of Saturdays ago. Remember that week when we had non-stop rain.  All week I keep checking the forecast and it was "rain".  I remember thinking how will they have a wedding at the Rose Garden where I was sure there were no indoor facilities. When I contacted Daisy she said that she ended up renting a tent at the last minute and that she was interviewed by KCRA who was doing a story titled "bride prepares for rainy wedding". It was a blast watching her interview.  She was so calm about the whole dilemma.

The wedding day started off with a light showers but when the ceremony started the rain lifted and from then on we had no rain until the reception time which was four hours later.  What luck we had.  I had beautiful light all around plus I had the most relaxed couple in the world.  I had blast photographing with everyone in the bridal party. They were fun and funny.

Daisy and Steven are a great couple.  They are such an outgoing couple.  They both love outdoor activities.  Steven's family is from Guatemala and for their engagement, he gave her a ring that represented his Mayan heritage.

Despite the rain, the ceremony site was crowded.   After the  ceremony, the guest were treated with Latin music and food.  Serene Lee who not only designed the wedding flowers but was also coordinating the guest group photos with me.   Thanks, Serene for your help.  The reception took place at the King Palace Seafood Restaurant where the guest feasted on an 8 to 10 course meal.  The food was great and guests who were not familiar with Chinese banquets were thrilled at amount of food that were serve one after another.

Daisy and Steven's wedding day was amazing despite the rain.  I've been told that rain on your wedding day will bring good luck to a marriage....not that they'll need it.
