Folsom Lake

Monday was Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday,  school was out and my husband  had the day off,  so he suggested that we all go to Folsom lake.  I was anticipating really cold weather but it was beautiful.  We stopped by Mr. Pickle's sub shop and picked up a couple of sandwiches.  I love their sourdough roll.  The crust was crunchy so when you bite into it, you're not fighting to keep the meat inside the bread.  (Can you picture that?)  I had to pack my picky eaters PB sandwiches.

Unfortunately, the lake level was so low.   We heard from someone who's lived around there for a while that this is the lowest he has seen the water level at the lake.    We had to walk quite a ways to get to the water.  I hope we get a good rainfall soon.  The walk was beautiful.  The lighting was great even in the middle of the day.

Children's Portrait Session in Roseville

Kay's grandkids are so beautiful and wonderful to photograph.  I remember not wanting to stop the session.  At the end, they had to have their traditional tree group shot.  Those girls were so cute hanging on like little monkeys.

Lodestar Light Center

Okay, you're wondering what is Lodestar Light Center.  Well, today I just had a massage that was the best I've had.   So, I am so excited to share with you Amanda Spanbauer.  Amanda and I met at one of eWomennetwork meetings.   I came in her office talking a mile a minute and a total spaz.   And, there is Amanda so quiet and calm.  She gave me a cup of tea to calm me down.  The ambiance was so calming and the music was so soothing. I really needed this.  My husband has been encouraging me to get one regularly.  I always thought that I don't have the time.  And, so I suffered....until today.  After the session, I didn't want to get up and wished I can stay and sleep until the next day.  I felt so good afterwards.  I can tell she really knows what she was doing.  I have been suffering with tenseness around my shoulder for years and years.  So today, I've decide to go regularly for the next few weeks.  So there, I made a commitment to take care of me.  Now it's your turn.  Amanda is located in Roseville.  You may contact her at 916-960-6249.

Family Portrait at the park

These photos were taken a couple of months back.   Remember how warm the weather was not too long ago.  It's probably hard to remember with this cold weather we're having lately.   Love, love Joclyn's photo.   I feel like I caught that one moment in time where you can see that innocence in her eyes.  The whole family was fantastic.

Children's Portrait Session with Maddie

I just love these photos of Keri's two beautiful children.  Keri is a fellow photographer  and I was honored to have been asked to photograph their family portrait.  Keri has such a lively personality that you can tell from the photos that they take after their corky mother.   We hauled her red chair  across the street from her house.  I saw the fence with all the falling leaves around it.  So why not!  All I have to say is "cute".
